It's been weeks of dramas, joke times, & strenuous practices and it's all over now for Bio batch 2006. The much-awaited BIOYUGYUGAN has finally come to pass and all the efforts everyone exerted paid off. We weren't the 1st, but 2nd place with a 1 point difference would be just fine & besides after everything that had happened the joy we felt exceeded that of a winner. What mattered most is that we had GREAT FUN as a batch and how closely knitted we've become - 3 blocks merge into ONE! Kakaiba!

After our general rehearsal last Thursday night, we did our traditional batch prayer led by Jian and suddenly tears came flowing when Jian was mentioning how much he love the batch and that this would be the last bioyugyugan for Bio batch'06 & how much we will be missing this kind of bonding especially for those who will be left behind (like us..) ...gosh! Isn't it ironic? Kung kelan naman last year na for the batch..it is when i feel this sudden spirit of "batch- togetherness"... kya i told / promised myself that sasama na tlga ako sa mga batch/block gatherings & outings namin i wouldn't want to miss all the FUN! hehehe...

Calling out to all spongecola slash Yael fans out there esp. Ate Genna...hehehe I got to see Yael & the band in our compound as in..in front of our compound!!! Well its like this, me & jc were waiting for a tric & then this silver car with a plate no. of MRF 497 stop by in front of my aunt's store & i guess they asked for directions to some of the standby guys sitting at the steps of the store and then jc told me " uy, si yael oh!" and when i saw the guy " i said, oo nga noh..kamukha ni yael!" and it took a minute or so till i finally said " ndi, si yael nga un!". So i memorized the plate no. of the car and i told jc that if that car went straight to SM then the guy we just saw must be Yael. At the jeep, i then saw the car with the plate no. i memorized turned right to the direction of SM Bacoor so i said it must be Yael alright but no conclusions yet. After the church service, we went to SM to pay some bills & do some groceries and then & there we finally put an end to our hypothesis that the guy in front of our compound asking for directions was indeed Yael! hahahaha...

Sayang..kung ndi lng kmi sumakay kaagad ni jc ng tric kmi na cguro ang pinagtanungan ng directions ni Yael! But hey, i don't like Yael...he's not my type...he's not tall kc eh! Pero someone out there likes this guy a lot....hmmm...Ate Genna *winks*... But i admit their songs rock!

Yesterday we had our Botany 121 fieldtrip. I had a blast of fun...hehe the trip itself is not that exciting but our cam moments were the best! Anyhow, we went to the Flower Farm in Tagatay and the Coffee Farm in Amadeo, Cavite. I learned some interesting tips from the kind of soil mixture you should use in planting plants/trees and all about coffee: how it is planted, harvested, brewed, used aside from it being a usual drink, it can also be a clothing material, furniture and a painting medium. galing noh?!

Oh and i'm having fun with the unlimited txt offer of Globe. Yesterday, napudpod na ata un thumb ko sa kakatxt at itong si Dandan kc nangungulit and he was just one seat away from me...but it was fun and i got to have that meaningful txt conversation with Sarah without having to worry if i've got enough load pa. hehehe Too bad, till august 27 lng un offer na un ng Globe kya sulitin na natin mga Globe users! hehehe

Life has indeed thought me a lot of lessons. Lessons learned from your parents, family, friends, mentors, and even your class lessons, they all contribute to the being you've become. If before i dreaded "failures", i now see the beauty it brings to one's life and that is if you really looked at its beauty. I've learned that failures brings out the BEST in you! I need not explain further, i guess the statement says it all.

As a 4th yr college student (and i can't even believe it! feeling ko kc 4th yr HS pa rin ako...), there's this feeling of "WoWness" (if there's such a word!) because of the thought that u could now enter the corporate world and the like, you would start earning bucks and would actually feel that you're really helping your family & your country. But in my case, that wouldn't be applicable yet since i've got 5 more years in med school and only then would i feel the "WoWness". Nevertheless, i'd still be graduating from my Biology course on March 2007 and somehow still feel d' "WOW" factor of a fresh college graduate. Why 2007? you may ask. Well due to a "failure" in my Biostat subject last year, i've reaped the consequences..take note: that's both good & bad. Bad, because i won't be graduating on time, duh?! Good, because i won't be saying what i've mentioned earlier about "failures" if i didn't experienced this stuff. Though, at the beginning of the sem, i thought i would cope up with all the pre-requisite subjects and make it on time, but the Dept. of Biology noticed our records (irreg students) and some of us weren't allowed to take BIO 199 (Research Methodology), which is a pre-requisite for BIO 200 (Thesis). Thus, making me & J (my thesis parnter) a 2007 graduates. Sabi nga ni J, with a 3 unit subject for the 1st sem of SY 06-07 and 2 units on the 2nd sem, dapat lng best thesis na kmi! Sana nga!
Oh well, moving on... i still belong to batch 2006 by heart..oh yeaaahhh! That's why that explains the grad pics and yearbook stuff i've been mentioning in my previous post.And speaking of yearbooks, we all know that students gets to choose a person/s close to them to write nice stuff to put in that precious yearbook...hehe.. i asked the two most special boys/men in my life...naks! My Dad & my bro, Jay-z and here's an edited version of their combined work:

I just came home from the saloon and had a hair spa & got my brows done. Hah! A girl's ultimate treat for herself... well at least for me that is. *winks*. It feels so good!!!! I know most of the girls love the feeling of "feeling" beautiful & pampered after having their hair n' nails done or just a massage in the parlour. Oh well, tomorrow i'm scheduled for my grad pic...kya naman pla nag-paganda ang isa dyan! hahaha... Actually, i wasn't supposed to have my grad pic this year since I won't be graduating this March yet but i thought of the yearbook & my batchmates so that's why...and if ur askin' why i won't be graduating on March 2006... wait for my entry about that... right now I'm still trying to figure out what my "creative" shot will be but if worse comes to worse...i have no other choice but to take my prom gown with me tomorrow for that creative shot. WOW how creative LeeAnn!!! Oh well that's just about it for this post... it's all about LeeAnn's kakikayans...wahahahaha

Feeling better now...my body system was down since Thurs. afternoon after that bioyugyugan practice that we had and that green apple ice drink from Quickly. But i guez, it has something to do with the weather condition we're having right now in the Phils. Oh well, i just lost my voice for a day and i was talking to "M" on the phone thurs. night with a terrible, terrible voice but he was sweet or should i say "bolero" enough to say that my voice's still ok... it sounds sweet pa din... DAW! haha... i even jokingly said to him, " pag tuluyan nawala boses ko, ikaw sisisihin ko ha...dinaldal mo kc ako eh." hehe... well tuluyan nga nawala boses ko & i wasn't able to attend my classes yesterday. I slept and lied on my bed the whole day of Friday ( well except when i went to the living room to watch Kampanerang Kuba... hehe...). But there's one thing i've come to realize with this sickness that i had: My Tita Mely LOVE & CARES for me...well all of us, actually! When Tita Daning & Ate Josie came and visited me yesterday, Tita D. was telling me that earlier that morning she saw Tita Mely was off to go somewhere and she asked her, "san ka pupunta?" and Tita Mely said, " dun sa Zapote, bibili ako ng gamot para kay Leeann... wala kc syang boses ngaun eh!" and then accdg. to Tita D, tears were flowing from Tita M's face already... awwww.... i was so touched by that! Well, eversince pa naman eh, whenever she knew that one of us is not feeling well, she would be so concerened and you would always see tears flowing from her face. That's why our family give our high and deepest respect & care to her. Nowadays, in the absence of mom and dad, she stands as our Mommy and she loves to cook our lunch, she won't even let Ate Irene cook lunch for us... gusto nya sya lng tlga! hehe... Tpos, this morning, since i'm feeling a bit well na, i decided to take a bath na coz i'm feeling uneasy na with myself but Tita M said i shouldn't pa since kakagaling ko lng sa sakit, bukas na lng daw. Juz rub some alcohol na lng daw... oh well that's what my mommy would say to me too when she's around. So i juz took my towel & juz washed myself. And one more thing, since Friday wa sour grocery day but didn't had the chance to do so, we decided na today na lng kmi mag-grocery ni joyce after her classes, but Tita mely said, " nku! cna joyce at jc na lng , maambon-ambon pa oh...delikado...sila na lng pag-grocery mo", i could really feel having daddy & mommy around telling me not to do this and that... hehe eh since masunurin akong bata, i told joyce na cla na lng ni ate irene ang mag-grocery but joyce wanted na kasma ako so... tomorrow na lng ang grocery day.

I'm so thankful to have a Tita like Tita Mely... eventhough sometimes she gets into her mood swings... oks pa din... but of course there's my favorite Aunt pa din...Auntie Arlene whom i'll be seeing soon together with Ivy Vanessa... hehe
